| Hey Jürgen, thanks for the great tips! I've been to Ott (Obaladara has really grown on me), Hofmann and Mager. Unfortunately, the last time I was in Pottenstein last year, Hufeisen was a week or so away from re-opening, so I narrowly missed out on that. Held, which isn't to far away in Oberailsfeld is also a gem for dark beer. Brauerei Alt was a great find at the Fränkisches Bierfest in Nürnberg back in June and was possibly my favorite new beer there. I wasn't sure to expect after another brewer had a less than positive review, but it turned out to be quite good. Gradl and Fößel have been on my radar for a long time now, but I find it really difficult to get to Leups and then back to Bamberg using public transportation. Any ideas there? |
