You live in Bamberg, but are you a Franke? FWIW, I live in Erlangen but am not a native. Though I appear to be 1/16 Oberfränkisch extraction. You're too young to remember the English comedy show Fawlty Towers. Mr. Fawlty, the hotel proprietor, couldn't be bothered to treat his guests well.
