WIFI Sticks

Appreciate that Nick. I'll be bringing my netbook. This was bought just over 12-month ago before heading out to Eschawo for a month. I was right in the middle of book writing at the time and needed a 'proper' keyboard and the facilities of a PC. I did contemplate buying an Android but they were a bit of an unknown quantity at the time. I remember discussing options with Don, who was also contemplating buying an Andriod, which I gather he has donce since. I decided that I couldn't cope with an on-screen keyboard for such a lot of Word-type activities, so the netbook was the best option. It has proved to be a good buy and relatively cheap (€220), but it is a bit heavy at 1.3 kgs (plus a really bulky and heavy charger) compared with an Android. This might not seem a lot but we only take 10 kg back-packs (even for 6 weeks in Eschawo), so it represents more than 10% of our total allowance. The WLAN worked pretty well in Charly's fewo, even allowed me to watch England's finest winning the Premiership last May!
