| You can hear different slogans. The official "Laß Dir schmecken!". But some locals say: "Recken - nicht um's Verrecken" - not about die. My personal opinion: - The manager/owner Dominik Eichhorn is a really nice man. I knew him as a member of the franconian brewery museum. - The brewery tries to get many places where You can drink their beers, p.e. they give advertising cost subsidies to the pubs and make good prices. So many restaurant/pub owners who need many, decide for this brewery p.e. ethnic restaurants. You can say: the brewery is to big to survive without marketing. - The Reckendorfer Schlossbrauerei has helped us for financing our festival Canalissimo http://www.canalissimo.de and was part of the list of breweries (others: Eichhorn in Dörfleins, Grasser in Huppendorf, Zehendner in Mönchsambach, Kundmüller in Weiher and Kraus in Hirschaid). - One of their beers is really very good: the saisonal wheatbock. http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/recken-reckendorfer-weizenbock/121595/ We have sold it at Café Abseits last year. In this year we prefer the Mönchsambacher Weizenbock (better image, better personal connections). You can get the Reckendorfer Weizenbock starting at ashwednesday for some weeks/months. The first brew was 2010 - I believe. |
