| The Kellerwald will be a strong factor for you in Forchheim, assuming you like the various local beers (and a couple from out of town as well). Easy train ride to the "Buttenheim" station too, then walk to Buttenheim proper - less than 2km from the station! - and its two breweries' Kellers. And if you want to get out a bit, the train takes you to Weissenohe and Gräfenberg, where you can decide just how much of the 5-Seidla-Steig you want to do (best on Saturdays due to opening hours of the five stops - and how is J. doing these days anyway?), or just do the walk between Weissenohe and Gräfenberg. The train will also get you to Pretzfeld and Ebermannstadt for yet more places you may not have yet visited. And of course, get that bus system sorted plus a bit of walking, so you can enjoy the delights of the Kreuzberg's three Kellers as well! Sorry we won't see you this time 'round (unless you decide to extend your stay with a trip out to Zoigl-land), but thanks for smoothing the way to Charly's place in Eschawecka ... which reminds me that I have to e-mail him, as our visit is one day shorter than originally planned, simply because that's how the flight back home worked out. |
