| A while back, Fred asked about where to stop for a beery lunch somewhere between Forchheim and Nürnberg, not too far (ca. 5 km) from the canal. I'm honestly not a good person to ask, because I never stop anywhere so close to home for me. There is the café attached to the Manhattan cinema in Erlangen, which is only worth mentioning because they pour the Dietzhofer Hell under CO2 and the Dunkel is in bottles. I did recommend Rittmayer in Aisch though, but it is farther than 5 km "inland". There's regular bus service (205) from Erlangen, although bikes are apparently no longer allowed on it, so he'd have to klappen up the Klapprad to take it on board. (N.B. Rittmayer close from 14.30 - 17.00, Montag Ruhetag!) Any other suggestions? |
