| Probably the nicest weather we've had here on 1 May since 05. Seriously beautiful. And so EVERYONE was out and about, by car, motorcycle, bike, sand train. Took our original, longer route through more woods to Stiebarlimbach, getting there at 15.00. Lines very manageable then, and herself amazingly found us spots at a shady table. < http://twitter.com/ErlangerNick/status/197322501158731777 > Beer was the worst ever though: caramel and butterscotch. Elderly couple at the table said "nicht genug (enough) Hopfen". Jawohl! Still, fabulous time, place, and weather, as full as I've ever seen the place. Cars parked all through the village, and as we left, the beer line stretched nearly back to the playground. < http://t.co/gsDTCuR4 > < http://t.co/eb4DsqHu > Never made it to Witzgall, but ran into Hermann & Karin at Forchheim Bahnhof who were there and who said it was also crazy crowded there. So the first of 3 Franconian May holidays is over. |
