OT: US beer

Sporting venues are notoriously expensive for beer (and other refreshments). It is a good thing he got a bottled beer so he could at least be sure of what he got. At these places they often don't even bother to tell you what is coming out of the keg (or if they do, it is often incorrect). $11 a pint, and don't forget those are US Pints, making the price more like £8.4 per UK Pint.
