Biking around Bamberg

Hi John - did you do the Hallstadt - Kemmern walk last year? I remember giving instructions to someone? Either way, you could do that from Bamberg or go out along the Main, via Bischberg, Viereth (Mainlust beers are good also the food), Staffelbach, Eschenbach (not the real one!) - then cross the river and come back via Stettfeld, Oberhaid and Dorfleins. It's mainly (sorry) along the river, so must be fairly flat. There's also a couple of nice kellers a few kilometres out from Dorfleuns towards Oberhaid (one of which sold Honig - a great beer). Then, of course, you could call in at the Goldene Lowen in Hallstadt and meet the regulars - all of whom are quite mad as Don S. will confirm (even the landlady - lovely person really) and, hopefully, the Lowenbrau/Buttenheim keller. Roll on September - on, and only 2 weeks to Eschawo!
