| Yeah, I know what you mean about bottled English beer, at least a lot of it is as you say. But there are the other breweries of interest (Fritz, other new interesting German ones, the Italian one and even that De Molen business) and the camaraderie. Bottled SNPA and Torpedo IPA are at least drinkable. And I've heard that the St. Austell bottled beers aren't *horrible*. I feel obliged to go just to support the endeavour, and hopefully try and talk them into bringing cask ale next year. And on principle: spend a day or two in Munich and drink *no* Münchener Bier! (Except maybe from the Forschungsbrauerei. And maybe the special one that the Hofbräu is doing for the fest.) |
