Thanks, that sounds really nice. I'll have to try it. My guide book ("Ein neuer Wanderführer für Biertrinker Fränkische Schweiz") has part of that: Pretzfeld to Hetzelsdorf. Since the height difference is only 180m, perhaps they chose the gentler part of the walk. But, I would guess, part of the fun of the enterprise is working up a powerful thirst.
