Witness also the new CREW Alewerkstatt (?) pale ale brewed under licence in the heart of Bavaria, which is also causing a bit of a fuss. Indeed there are a handful of people daring to consider that beers brewed outside their local experience might be worthy of more than quick dismissal, among the *1200*+ breweries in the country. But the predominate attitude is as in the TV show. And simple ignorance. Nothing especially German or Bavarian or Franconian about that though.
