York == Bamberg of Britain? |

| York is a great beer town, with more than its fair share of fabulous pubs - it has that and history in common with Bamberg but not the brewing. For that you need to go 9 miles South West to Tadcaster. It's just a shame that so much of the beer brewed in Tadcaster is so awful these days (John Smiths and Coors, was Bass, breweries) still has Sam Smiths, however, but they're a bit odd. |
