Hi Mark - thanks for those suggestions. I had in mind a bit of adapting but your ideas seem pretty sound. I guess malt extract is malt extract whoever it comes, only difference being whether it is light, dark or whatever. I wonder whether I could light spray malt instead? I did use instead of brewing suger in my 'Great Expectations', but not sure whether it could be used in totality. Your hop suggestion is very wlecome, as it seems really difficult to get US-hops this side of the pond, even from UK. But I don't want to put you to any great trouble or expense. Barry |
