May I suggest an alternative - or an addition? Call in at the Goldene Lowene in Hallstadt for Honig of Tiefendorf (it's in your way) then head up the cycle track to Kemmern and Wagnerbrau. You can come back through the woods on the other side of the Maine, passing close to Diller Keller (now shut, I guess) and call in at Eichorn. If you are tired (!), you can always pick up the bus in Hallstadt back to Bamberg. It's a really nice diversion and great beer at Wagner. Also in Kemmern, you can try Reckendorf beers at the other pub (cant' remember its name), which has a really nice garden, if the weather is good.
