Forchheim Kellerwald ...

Lovely. I dare the first-time foreign visitor to attempt to describe the Kellerwald to someone who's never been. (Both during and not during the Annafest. Or either.) Interesting at Winterbauer is the brewed-for-whichever-Pottensteiner-Brauerei Höllentrunk or whatever it's called. Actually a nicer beer than the normal St. G Kellerbier. Pity about Löwenbräu not being the beer it used to be. Sometimes only bland, more often than not a waxy-appley and butterscotchy mess. R.I.P. hops. The Forchheimer Kellerwald is in the news this weekend, as there's a guided tour through various(?) Keller(s) on Sunday starting at 16.00. Those interested apparently need to ring the Forchheimer Tourist Info center: http://www.forchheim.de/content/tourismus-freizeit . An explanation of the various beers on offer, as well as a tasting of some sort (Seidla?) and some sort of Brotzeit deal. I can't find anything online about it though.
