| Long overdue... I've been away from internet in the Swedish wilderness for a month since returning home from Germany. Doable, but I'd rather be online. First of all - many thanks to Gerhard, Nick and Uncle Jimbo who made my last afternoon and evening at Abseits so memorable. Thanks for sharing your beer and your beery knowledge! If I had known Mark was on his way I would have stayed on a little longer, sorry Mark. My 81 km hike was generally fine, easy walking, spacing between breweries ok, weather brilliant, mosquitos absent. I would, however, not recommend the first day's walk Strullendorf to Strassgiech. Is was almost completely on paved roads. Remaining days offered nice walking on mixed surfaces Strassgiech-Huppendorf-Breitenlesau-Oberailsfeld-Hintergereuth. Finally bus and train to Bamberg for some relaxing city life. |
