Yes, both are 'round the corner' and open - be interesting to know which, as the beers are rather different. I will try the OH next year - honest. Both OH and WS beers are, to the best of my knowledge, brewed by Robert Sperber. WS store their zoigl in kegs (for Nick's sake) and, on our final visit to the Mittwoch stamtisch, it was awful! The landlord sat at our table with the murkiest seidla I've ever seen and resolutely drank it. The rest of us refused and had it changed. It gradually got better but was never particularly good. Robert Sperber's brother was on the ausschank that night and exlained, rather implausibly, that it was a new barrel and the sudden explosion of CO2 had 'stirred up' the solids. I think that was just sibling loyalty myself. |
