Bug: easy access to Bamberg

Sandkerwa starts in less than a month, and only now are you looking to book a room? Oy, Mike. I doff my cap to you, sir, as a True Master of the Last Minute. At this point, you're going to have, at best, an "interesting" time finding lodging at reasonable prices in Bamberg. But you could get lucky, who knows? If you consider one hour "walkable" (Steven Wright's Rule of Walking Distance: "Everywhere is walking distance if you have the time"), then yeah, sure, Bug (and the Buger Hof Hotel, shaddup with the snickering already) is "walkable." Have you checked the Hotel Frankenland up in Hallstadt? Hallstadt's train station is about a 15-minute walk from there. Brauerei Gasthof Kraus, down in Hirschaid, is not even a 10-minute walk from Hirschaid's station. Both places have lodging prices comparable to the Buger Hof. If you don't mind a 20-minute walk from "Buttenheim" station, you might find lodgings in central Buttenheim too. A smidge closer to Bamberg, Hotel-Restaurant Christel in Strullendorf is about a 10-minute walk from Strullendorf station. Good luck!
