Not valid on IC/ICE, can be booked at an "automat", for up to 5 persons for € 39. http://www.bahn.de/i/view/GBR/en/prices/germany/schoenes_wochenende_ticket.shtml If you follow the link, you'll find that on the next page only NV and S are selected as modes of transport, meaning only local trains. You do not even need to type in the exact stations you want to travel to. Just to make sure - despite the name the ticket is only valid on saturday OR sunday!
