I was told by a nice young couple from Bonn I met in Bamberg recently,that the Kolbe have an unusual sort of an arrangement with the breweries.sort of a franchise where they purchase the beer and resell it to the customers.and this is why they are so on the ball when replacing an empty glass. I can see your tongue firmly in cheek.
