Upcoming July trip

Reviews elsewhere suggest that Wagner/Oberhaid is tired and badly in need of ... well, it may be another candidate for a brewery shutdown, like Baunach/Sippel was. Defective beers from a tired old brewery are usually a sign of terminal decline, unfortunately, but hope springs eternal. Besides Eichhorn/Dörfleins, Wagner/Kemmern, and Fößel/Appendorf, you have the potential to visit Hertlein/Staffelbach and Adler/Stettfeld, not to mention south of the river, calling in at Sonne/Bischberg, Mainlust/Viereth, and Kundmüller/Weiher, although you could easily make a separate day at the latter three, and bonus: all offer lodging. We stayed in a FeWo at Kundmüller last September; good value for money, and Kundmüller remains one of my favorites in the region for quality beer, outdoor beer garden, and good hearty food.
