We use the Bayern card a lot and this means not using ICE's. We had to use 5 different trains to get from Leipheim to Eschawo and only one was late - from Donauwurth to Tischenreuth - but DB held up the Nurnburg connection, so everythin was ok. In general, we have found the German rail system first class and, using the Bayern cards makes it fantastic value - €29 for 2 people from Leipheim to Eschawo is amazing. Not much new to report: weekend spent mainly in Zum Roud'n, whis is probably my favourite stube, with Anton an excellent host. Good zoigl (60/40 Pils/Munch) and little gas because it arrives at the ausschank by gravity. Also visited Teicher in Neuhaus for first time, spending lovely afternoon in garden. Herr. J. Punzmann, who brews for Schoilmichel as well, produces a really beautiful pils-style beer, clear as a bell and really drinkable. Had a couple of hours in Wolframstube yesterday. Their Zoigl, brewed in own brauhaus, was much beter than I remember from last year, seems to be much more pils-based than Eschawo brewers using kommunbrauhaus. Quite tasty, in fact. Sadly, weather not so great today. This week, probably Loisl tonight, Weisser Schwann stamtisch on Wednesday, Thursday night in our host's little home pub, Binner on Firday and a trip to our final new pub, Kack'n, in Neuhaus at weekend. Oh yes, and a visit to Falkenburg bubbling under! Never a dull moment here!
