Cucumbers: what are the recommendations?

Wow, what a bunch of nervous nellies. Cukes are easy to deal with: judicious use of a peeler solves any potential problems quite readily. There's even less to worry about with asparagus, since it's normally cooked. The most problematic vegetables and fruits are those that aren't peeled or cooked. And statistically ... well, if you're worried about something like this, I'd not bother traveling to Germany, or, FTM, outside of the house at all. In particular, don't drive a car!
