| The electronics/appliance store next to Spezial (to the right as you stand in the doorway) has been acquired by Christian Merz. Right now the store front display looks as if it is the "Spezial Fan Shop." I hear that part of the new space will got for expanded rest rooms... Also there will be a Schlenkerla "Summer Beer" released in June. I hope to have a taste before I leave. I was described as a marriage between the Märzen and Lagerbier -- a bit lighter, lower in alcohol and smoke that the regular Märzenn. And it will be krausened and unfiltered. |
