I can't seem to visit Germany without there being some train problem! There normally is an RE at that leaves Frankfurt HBf at 9:30am and goes direct (no changes) to Bamberg. It is a takes a little longer but I have a 55lb suitcase (with my Bike Friday) and I don't like lugging it up and down the stairs at Würzburg. Well it turns out not only did they change the platform without announcing it, the train only goes part way, then we take a bus to Lohr -- and then I still have to change at Würzburg. Argh. Cutting in to my beer time :)
