| When is your next trip? I've done the same. Also going to be staying at Rittmayer in Hallerndorf. The more I look into staying in some of these country hotels the more I like it. It's an opportunity to be able to walk to a lot of places and not worry about how/when to get back to Bamberg. Not to mention all of this means less cost. Another place I recently discovered and am going to stay at is Hotel Golden Hirsch in Burgebrach. It's walking distance to 4 kellers in that area including Hermann Keller, Max Keller, Schwanen Keller, and the hotel has its own nearby keller that serves beer from one of the local Brauerei. Of course bad weather can derail all these wonderful plans a bit. I know that all too well having had two July's in a row where the weather was absolute shite (you would have thought it was April). Still I know that at the very least I can have a good time at Kreuzberg and Roppelt's even in bad weather. |
