Country hotels

Those little country places rock. Prices are reasonable, quality of comfort good, and they're great places for that last beer-and-schnapps nightcap before calling it a day. Over the years, we've stayed in a few of them: Kundmüller/Viereth, Winkler/Melkendorf, Hartmann/Würgau, and others, as well as similar places elsewhere. Other than FeWo accomodation, the value for money is hard to beat.
