Yes. I don't know why. Maybe these are the reasons for the high deposit: 1. The bottles are so called "Maurerflaschen" from Rr. Bauer Secundus. http://www.dr-bauer-secundus.de/flaschen-mit-buegelverschluss.phtml This is a good producer, so the bottles can can be a little more expensive. I have asked an other brewmaster. He told me, that such bottles can have a price between 0,50 to 1,00 Euro. At the website of an other shop I have seen a price of 0,57 € per piece (bottle: 0,38 €, closure: 0,29 €) http://www.flaschenbauer.de/spirituosenflaschen/buegelverschlussflaschen.html/bierflasche-braun-0-5-l-lochmdg.html 2. The lab brewery have no fillery. It is hand labor to fill the bottles and label them. 3. Many of the buyers (p.e. foreigners, tourist, collectors) bring pack them back. Maybe Weyermann likes the small profit from the deposit. Café Abseits have to pay the same deposit. So we don't make profit from the deposit. So You can bring back the bottles to us or to Weyermann.
