Next visit to Franconia

My father and I (and Tom Rierson) last summer rode our bikes along the Main from Bamberg to Aschaffenburg ("The great bike ride across Unterfranken") With a few exceptions, the farther we got from Bamberg the more we paid for worse beer.The best beer was Adler in Stettfeld and it was (literally :) ) downhill from there. Martinsbräu in Markheidenfeld and Faust in Miltenberg where the bright spots. We didn't stray from the river so we didn't make it to places like Gnodstadt or Hausen and we did run into the occasional Ruhetag or Betriebsurlaub so we may have missed some gems along the way.
