| That reminds me of Herr Hartmann at Brauerei Gathof Hartmann in Wurgau. Herr Hartmann comes up to my wife and I at dinner to welcome us and make sure we are enjoying ourselves. He could barely hear or understand us but he made the effort as he seemed to do with everyone that came through the door. When we got up to go to our room to retire for the evening we say good night to him. He tells us to have a good night and sleep late. So .... we slept late. I don't think the rest of the family was too pleased about this as one of them barged into our room at 10:00 presumably to get us up. We finally get downstairs for breakfast and they tells us we are too late and breakfast is over. Herr Hartmann overhears this conversation and he's not having it. He sits us down at his table and makes the staff bring us breakfast. They were livid! What does Herr Hartmann do? As soon as we finish he makes them get us a second portion! Hah! What a classic gentleman!! |
