Go old-school, as in hard-copy road atlas. You can pick up the all-Germany one at any gas station. Of course, it might be a smidge more challenging in Bamberg, depending on where you're going, so you can stop at a gas station there and buy a city road map too! Whatever did we do in the dark ages before GPS? Besides waste gas and get lost, I mean.
