| Mike, which supermarket are you thinking about? The one to the left as you exit the bhf is now closed (as of September). If you cross the road to the small square opposite the bhf, there is a supermarket in the lefthand corner. A bit difficult to see and not as big as the old one. It has a reasonable selection but I can't remember exactly what, as I don't tend to drink bottled beer. Exit the bhf and turn left, walking past where the old supermarket was, carry onto to the traffic lights and turn left over the bridge crossing the rail tracks. Once over the bridge, turn immediately left and there are two supermarkets, including an Aldi (or Lidl) and an RWE plus a trinktmarkt. Again, don't know what the slection is like but it's bound to be quite good. This is a good choice because you can also visit Abseits, which is a five minute walk away from the t/markt. From memory, I think its the 902 bus that also goes to both venues but via a quite convoluted route. Alternatively, if you head straight out of the station, down Leopoldstr, there's a Norma about 500 m on the left. Other than that, I can't think of any trinkmarkts in the city but there are one or two other supermarkets. |
