| Yes, that's the one, Don, it's at the bottom of Pödeldorfer str, behind the bhf. I know that Biomarkt, just down from Spezial. Sorry about my spelling of Luitpoldstr - done quickly on the fly - and the Norma's on the right. Apart from that, it was ok! Oh yes, there's a big Getränkemarkt near the bhf in Hallstadt, but that's a bit off the beaten track. I've bought quite a few different bottles of beer during my time in Bayern but they never seem to taste anything like the equivalent draught beer. The biggest let down is the 'U' - it tastes nothing like the stuff vom Fass in Mahrs (added insult to injury when they serve it to you in the pub!). Do they add anything to the bottled stuff to preserve it, like the sulphites in wine or whatever they put in Guinness, bottled, canned or draught? Apart from CO2, of course. |
