| The "T" stands for "Teilzone," or "partial zone." "2+T" implies a two-zone plus partial zone fare. If you look at the zone maps (confusing as they can be), you'll see that some zones are subdivided into partial zones. Zone 1100 (Bamberg) is further subdivided into 1101 and 1102, two "partial" zones. The translation also translates "partial zone" into "sub-zone" just to keep things confusing. |
