How Many Breweries?

I've noticed that when some say "Europe" they really mean "Continental Europe." And I've heard it used that way on both sides of the Channel. so it might still be true in that sense. Evan jogged my memory -- I think I heard Lorenzo say that Italy was over (or near -- I was drinking at the time :). ) 200 breweries. This was at Beachwood BBQ in Seal Beach, CA llast year when they were having an Italian beer festival.
