| The Munich S-bahn line can deliver you to several beery diversions. As mentioned, Aying/Liebhard's and Kloster Andech's would not disappoint. And in Freising, Weihenstephan is a must, but you would also enjoy Hofbrauhaus Freising. And a short taxi ride from Freising will get you to Schlossbrauerei Au-Hallertau, with the remarkable Schlossbräukeller. Pictures cannot do it justice. The beer though, is average to average+. And Maisach is home to Brauerei Maisach, which has a very comfortable bräustüberl with very good beer. I also must mention Altomünster and it's two breweries. One has a modern restaurant with good beer, the other is a more classic joint with average beer. It's a worthwhile S-bahn ride, but a bit long and with a transfer.
