Mahr's U is Kellerbier.

"... why describe U as Mahrs' kellerbier?" Well, maybe because that's what the brewery says themselves! Er...at least in the US, apparently. Whereas this image http://www.mahrs-braeu.de/index.php?id=86 "clearly" shows "Mahr's Bräu Ungespundet-hefetrüb" on the label, as the beer is sold here, this one http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_9Z6OoSc63eY/StTaPk-C-hI/AAAAAAAAADw/uDcZwwIiwPk/s1600-h/DSCF0092.jpg shows something else. Now we know why it costs so much more in the US: that extra ink on the labels.
