Since 6 years I participate on a national meeting of bloggers (culinary themes), each year in an other city. In this year I organise the annual meeting in Bamberg. And the theme is beer. The program of Saturday, 26th february 2011: 10 a.m to 1 p.m. Franconian Brewery Museum, Introduction in the pleasure / tasting of beer. Presenter will be Johannes Schulters, chief of the brewery museum and the brewery academy, which educates beer sommeliers. 1.30 p.m to 3.00 p.m. Lunch and presentation of the pub "Pelikan". The lunch: Bamberger Hörnla (a famous, local kind of potatoe) with homemade sausage, cooked in a wok, Thai flavored. price: 8.80 € 5.30 p.m. Visiting the brewery Heller ("Schlenkerla"), moderated by Matthias Trum, the owner of Schlenkerla 7.00 p.m. to around 10 p.m. 3 courses menu, brewpub Schlenkerla, Ulanenzimmer (a special room for meetings), moderated by Matthias Trum price: 26,90 €, option: 3,00 € for the dessert. Different Schlenkerla beers are included. The meeting and all moderations are in German. If someone of the locals or tourists who understand German wish to participate, I would be pleased. But there are place restrictions. The minimum size is 10 participants. The regular length of time: 90 minutes.
