| That's all fine and good when you're traveling solo, when it's easier to just squeeze yourself into an available corner. The dynamic is rather different when you're traveling in a group of seven, as Barry and I were last September in Bamberg. We were okay out front for a while, but it was a bit drippy out and as is often the case, the females in the group expressed a desire to be somewhere warmer and drier, so we sought spaces for all inside. The entry room's tables were either already occupied or had 'reserved' signs on them; the back room turned out to have a roomy table free, and we had a fine time there. No problem there at all, and the 'U' coming from the barrel was in good form. |
