Turkish appears to have more umlauts than Deutsch, FWIW. The "invented" bit? Originally, Turks ate Döner on a plate with a piece of the bread and a salad. Then one guy in Berlin hit upon the idea of cutting the bread open and putting it all inside, to capture the busy German-on-the-go lunch market. Success!
