Yes, I have never seen a Turkish Döner shop in the US. The comparable shops are usually Lebanese, or Israeli, or Greek, or Armenian. They use lamb/beef combinations, not turkey, and Falafel is very common. The meat sandwiches are called Shwarma or Gyro (if Greek). |
