| DB will introduce a day ticket for regional trains (IRE, RE, RB, S) valid in the whole country, weekdays from 09:00 until 03:00 the following day, starting from december 12 (new timetables). They had it earlier as an experiment. It is not so cheap for one person, but as a group ticket (max. 5) quite good value if you travel in 2 or more Länder. http://www.bahn.de/regional/view/regionen/freizeit/quer-durchs-land.shtml Price: € 42 for one, and 6 euro extra for each person extra, maximum group size is 5. Of course during the weekend one should use the Schönes Wochenende Ticket. |
