| "The accommodation problem in Belgium" would be what, exactly? Cities like Brussels are rather dearer than our beloved Franconia, of course. Yes, you can stay in a hostel (and even book a double room with en-suite toilet/shower) in Brussels, which is a fairly expensive city for lodgings otherwise, but I view hostel-style accommodation with the beady-eyed attitude of "you get what you pay for." As an alternative, have you looked on Villanao (villanao.co.uk) and Homelidays (homelidays.co.uk) for self-catering apartment accomodation instead? No, it won't be as cheap in Brussels as it is in Franconia, but by Brussels standards, it will still be good value for money, and with the superb transport system, you'll still have no problem getting around. |
