| We stopped in at Bräutigam and Roppelt-Trossenfurt in September, first time at both of these places. Every so often, I run across a well-made batch of Lagerbier somewhere that reminds of how well-expressed malt depth can be, complete with honey-like overtones. I've run across it before at Hölzlein in Lohndorf, but not on my most recent visits; this time, Bräutigam was the one that hit that "sweet spot." Roppelt-Trossenfurt had decent beer and we enjoyed a good dinner there, great value for the money too. |
