Why dbahn instead of flying?

Again, Jim, it's how things work over here. Subscriptions for EVERYTHING are automatically renewed, unless you specifically cancel *in writing* within a specified period before the renewal. This is all clearly spelled out in the application materials. I've just cancelled our BahnCard 50's, which we've had for years, since it just doesn't pay off in our case, mainly because the VGN has been extended up north of Bamberg. The BahnCard isn't used for travel originating and ending within such transit systems, and well over 90% of our travel is within the VGN. But we will sign up for new 25's though, at 50(?)€ a person, they'll pay off in time...I think. I just want to have one for the sake of having one.
