Every train (Eurostar and ICE) has a contingent of 49-Euro-Tickets. When you don´t find a relation for 49 Euro, try this: reiseauskunft.bahn.de "VIA Bruxelles" half an hour or an hour stopover and / or "VIA KÖLN" half an hour or an hour stopover So your chance is better to get a ticket for 49 Euro. In the one hour at your stopover you can drink a coffee or a beer :-) Because of the fast ICE trains between Cologne/Köln and Frankfurt doesnt´t have much 49-Euro contingents, try also to book "VIA Koblenz" This is the "old" route at the "Rhein" river (very nice landscape!), the trains here need one hour longer than the fast ICE trains via the new line Köln-Frankfurt. But they are cheaper! Try to book at November the first or the second (at one of both days you can book tickets for 2011) a few seconds after midnight, so you´ll have good chances also for the fastest relations. You need a credit card to book when you book from England. |
