That expensive for such a crappy beer? It is a Munich beer, so it sits on your stomach for ages, being not very "bekömmlich". Drink locally, and in London or UK, drink your local beer. Reduce the CO2 footprint of drinking beer... And drink Munich beer in the beer desert of Munich... I'm not promoting it, but BTW I think the O'fest from this Munich branch of Heineken is available for € 12~14~ish anywhere in Germany, I could check it out at my "local" Trinkgut where I usually stop to stock up my regular jever - I usually don't care for the O'fest sort of stuff, so I don't know the actual fares. GBP 30 * 12 cases * 1,2 (€/GBP) = roughly € 450. € 14 * 12 cases = € 168. Book a round trip on Dover-Dunkirk for € 100 and make up your mind about the fuel costs from Dunkirk to the nearest Getränkemarkt in Germany. And that nearest Getränkemarkt might have something decent as well, apart from the industrial grade Märzen. |
