I haven't read right through the whole lot (and, yes, it is a bit deep!) but you'll notice that the light and dark milds are a bit cheaper than the bitters and following beers. That was always the case with mild beers in Manchester. For example, when I started drinking back in 1960 (no ask about the legality), mild was about 10d - that's 10 old pence, approx. 3.5 - 4.0 cents (€) and bitter about one shilling = 12 old pence, about 5 cents. Sounds wonderful, but I was only earning £3 per week. The milds were always weaker than bitter, I guess around 3.0 - 3.5, as opposed to around 4.0 for bitter.
