Upcoming Bamberg trip

Walking from Bischberg to Bamberg is pretty easy. It's a slightly downhill slope. You can stop off in Gaustadt for a drink, or to look around the church in the centre of town. My favourite Bamberg beer garden is Wilde Rose. But some of the best ones are outside the city. Since your time is limited, you might want to consider a half day weekend trip to Forchheim, Buttenheim, Kreuzberg, or maybe Geisfeld. These places should have more than one beer garden open at weekends, if the weather is good.
